2012 Brings New Shows and Announcements!

It’s a new year and time to kick things up a notch! Last year ended with me proudly becoming a new Machinima partner and now I gotta try to top that.

Here are 4 new announcements of things to come!

1. You guys have been asking me to live stream some gameplay for quite sometime now. I am excited to say that within the next month, my weekly live chat (every Weds. at 3pm PST at Justin.tv) will now be 1 hour of Q&A followed by another hour of live gameplay…so you guys can pick on me for the way I talk to my games and how frustrated I get.

2. I often get accused of talking about video games too much. I didn’t think such a thing would be a problem. But anyways, I am starting a new weekly YouTube segment where I ramble about a completely random topic that has nothing to do with video games. Not sure if I can carry a conversation without at least using video game references…but we will see.

3. This one I can’t go into too many details about yet, but this month I will be starting a whole new weekly live show with one of my super hot geek girlfriends. So keep an eye on my Twitter for more details!

4. Lastly, you know that super-duper cool news show I do with Blake for GotGame.com? Well now the news show will be filmed live every Thursday with an extra Q&A show afterwards with you guys!!

Gonna be a busy girl, but you guys make it fun! I am so excited to get to chat and game with you all even more every week! And if you have any suggestions or ideas, please definitely feel free to email me!

Girls of Geek Calendar: UPDATE!

I was asked to join the ranks of some pretty hot geek girls in a new Girls of Geek 2011 calendar where some of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. I was super honored to sign up and be a part of this! The calendar pre-orders just started, and for the first 1000 calendars pre-ordered get a “Geeks Love Boobs” wristband.

The photoshoot that I will be doing will be exclusive to the calendar. So if you wanna see the pics, you gotta order the calendar!! Plus, it would be an awesome way to support me and boob health!

And did I mention, my hottie friend, NixiePixel, will be featured in the calendar as well?

I just got back from another wonderful year at San Diego Comic Con 2011. The show was packed full of everything a nerd could ever ask for; comics, movies, video games, celebrities and cosplay.

Ever since my very first year at SDCC, I have been cosplaying. This year I was Babydoll from Sucker Punch:

I was part of a wonderful group of girls who were dressed as superhero versions of Disney Princesses, where I was Snow White:

Best of E3 Awards Show

E3 2011 Coverage

I always hate when E3 ends. I absolutely love running from one appointment to the next, seeing friends, checking out new games and how the only thing people are talking about is video games.

I was filming interviews for GotGame this year and saw games like Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Saints Row 3, Gears 3, Silent Hill: Down Pour, the new PS Vita, the new Wii-U, a bunch of 3DS games and my personal favorite; BioShock Infinite. Here are a few of the interviews and some of my impressions of the games I played.

Cosplay Donations

Good cosplay is expensive…but great cosplay is even more pricey. Making a new costume from scratch on a budget while trying to make it look top dollar is near impossible. So, this little freelance game journalist with near empty pockets asks you guys, for help…any help at all…to make this year’s cosplay costumes be the best yet.

My estimated amounts for each costume is about $250 a piece, and I am planning on doing three of them. Babydoll from Sucker Punch, a currently unannounced group costume that is sure to please (will be posting more teaser pictures soon) and the surprise costume I have been working on (hint: it’s a video game/movie/comic book character).

I know, donating money to three costumes, only one that you know about, is asking a bit much. But I promise to make it worth your while. For all donations over $25 will get a signed picture of me in their costume of choice and a special shout out in my SDCC cosplay video. I know, that really isn’t anything spectacular, but that’s all I can offer at the moment.
